This was my first moto/trails race. I rode on saturday in the Women's A class. It was super sandy in the trails with a few hills that had large rocks. For some reason I was just not feeling the race on saturday. I finished 4th out of 5th as I was fighting the bike in the sand the whole way. I woke up Sunday not feeling too sore and watched practice. The sand was even more rutted out, but almost in a good way b/c now there was a grove to ride. I talked to Tina Roberts and she convinced me to race with her. We had a great turnout for the women's open on sunday-7 girls raced! We did a full moto start. I started in 2nd gear since my bike taps out real quick in first and straight pinned it and never let off. I finished 3rd that day and did the same amount of laps but 4 min faster.
